Zusammenfassung:	The machine (1) is equipped with a machine frame (5) carried on rail undercarriages (6) for laying an overhead wire (2) or a carrying rope (3) of a track (7). A storage drum (18) containing the overhead wire and/or the carrying rope, and rope roles (23) revolvingly stored around an axis of rotation (24) are provided on the machine frame. The rope roles comprise rope grooves (26) for handling the overhead wire and/or the carrying rope, and a pull-tension adjustment device (22) controls the respective pull-tension. Each rope role of the pull-tension adjustment device comprises only one circular rope groove. All rope grooves of the arrangement and a guidance arrangement are positioned in a common, vertically to the axis of rotation proceeding, plane during an unwinding process.
