Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for producing cooling power for buildings and for distributing the power to the buildings by means of liquid circulating in a pipe system, whereby cooling power is produced by an absorption aggregate (5, 8, 9, 10) or the like and the cooling power is transferred to the supply air of the buildings by an air-conditioning unit or the like. To improve reliability, when the cooling demand is great, part of the cooling power is produced in evaporative cooling devices (34) contained in the air-conditioning units or the like of the building, and part is obtained as cooled circulation liquid from a cold water tank (26) added to the absorption aggregate (5, 8, 9, 10) or the like.
