Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	A system (10) for continuously processing successive workpieces along a production line having a loader (11) for loading workpieces (12) on to a main conveyor (13) for conveying through a workstation (14) and an unloader (15) for unloading the workpiece after processing. The loading and unloading are achieved without disturbing the main conveyor during operation of the workstation so as not to vibrate the workpiece during operation of the workstation. According to one embodiment, the workpiece is a printed circuit board and the workstation is an optical inspection system (14). Alternative transfer mechanisms allow for the workpiece to be conveyed by the main conveyor during inspection or by an independent carriage.
