Zusammenfassung:The novel feature in the preparation of microencapsulated polymers by polymerisation of microencapsulated monomer droplets suspended in an aqueous phase is that the aqueous phase contains a polymerisation inhibitor. The monomer droplets preferably contain styrene and a crosslinker, and the polymerisation inhibitor is inorganic or organic. Preferably the inhibitor is used at 10-1000 ppm based on total weight of aqueous + inhibitor and is an N compound, phosphorous acid salt, S compound, peroxy compound, phenolic compound, unsaturated lactone or hydroxyketone.
