Zusammenfassung:	The heater (1), e.g. a plate heat exchanger (2), has a heating device, a cold water input (3), and hot water inlet (6) and outlet (7), with service water outlet (5). There is a device to detect the drawing, or use, of the water, including an NTC resistance (8). This device is in heat conducting connection with the inflowing cold water when the water is being drawn. The NTC resistance is co-axial with the cold water inlet, on the opposite wall (9) of the heater, on the outside, and is in good heat conducting contact with this wall. The NTC resistance may be fitted tightly against the water heater.
