Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	The proposal is for a flexible seal between two housing sections, preferably for an electrical device and a process for its production. The sealing compound (3) is applied to at least one predetermined sealing surface (2) between the housing sections (1) and compressed between the housing sections (1) when they are put together. The sealing compound (3) consists of butyl rubber, preferably with mineral fillers, which is heated before application to the sealing surface (2). In the process for producing the flexible seal, the sealing compound (3) is conveyed by means of a piston pump and a downstream gear pump to a heated application nozzle, and, after the sealing compound (3) has cooled, the housing sections (1) are pressed together and the sealing compound undergoes plastic deformation.
