VEHICLE LAMP

The invention is based on a vehicle lamp with a shiny transparent lens (3) which may be coloured for signalling purposes, without any light distribution optics, and with a plastic reflector housing (2) consisting of a basic section (4) and a free-formed surface reflector (5) with a preferably mirrored reflecting surface (6), in which the basic section (4) is fitted with all securing eyes (9), stiffening or other ribs, a fixing or recess (11) for a lamp holder (12) and the like and the free-form surface reflector (5) provides the necessary light distribution, the lens (3) is secured to the reflector housing (2) and there is a light source in a lamp chamber formed between the reflector (5) and the lens (3). To simplify the manufacture of such a vehicle lamp and reduce production costs while at the same time retaining or improving its efficiency, the reflector housing (2) is multi-component injection moulded in one piece, in which the basic section (4) is moulded in a first injection step and the reflector (5) is injection moulded on the basic section (4) with a uniform wall thickness or layer thickness in a second step.
