Zusammenfassung:	This invention shows a method for improving water-proofing property of water-setting inorganic compositions such as plaster. The modifier is prepared by emulsifying (A) a copolymer of a vinyl monomer and unsaturated dicaboxylic acid (or anhydride) having an acid number of 200 - 400 mg KOH/g (SMA 2000 or 3000) and (B) organopolysiloxane or its derivatives into water by use of alkali compounds, where the ratio of (A) / (B) is in the range from 20/1 to 1/20. The modified water-setting inorganic compositions of claim contain (A) + (B) at 0.01 SIMILAR 20 wt-%.
