Method and device for electromagnetic flow measurement

The flow rate measuring method has a measuring pipe passed through a perpendicular magnetic field provided by an electromagnetic coil, supplied with an energising current via a clocked DC source. The measuring voltage induced by the flow across a pair of measuring electrodes on opposite sides of the measuring pipe is detected at sampling intervals. The induced voltage is detected during a time section (ta) before the magnetic field resulting from energising of the coil reaches a stable condition, with the sampled values (U1,U2,U3) used for estimation of the flow rate.
