Zusammenfassung:	The sensor has a pot-shaped cylindrical housing preferably of metal or plastic. The housing floor (3) acts as a vibratory diaphragm. Part of the wall (6) is built out to a greater thickness (d). A circular, elliptical or rectangular piezoelectric element (4) is attached to the inside of the diaphragm with its centre on the axis of symmetry. The thickening reduces the effective area of the diaphragm so that it oscillates in dependence on the excitation frequency in a fundamental mode with practically no discernible harmonics.
