Zusammenfassung:	A transdermal system (1) for delivering a substance through the skin (2) has a reservoir (11) which stores the substance for delivery and a transfer device which in operation is connected to both the reservoir and the skin by means of passage openings. This transfer device comprises a sheet substrate (12) with up to about 30 % porosity. When the substance is delivered using an electrical field, the substrate sheet is a poor electrical conductor or essentially a nonconductor.
