Zusammenfassung: | Production of vinylidene olefin derivs. (I) using a trialkylaluminium compound as the sole catalyst component charged to the reaction vessel, comprises dimerising vinyl olefin (VO) with at least one trialkylaluminium compound (TAC) as the catalyst in a ratio of 0.001-0.05 mole TAC per mole VO at temperature between 140-172 [deg]C for 1-24 hours to convert >= 10 wt.% VO to a different product with - 80 wt.% vinylidene dimer selectivity. |
