Cradle for a portable radio terminal

The support e.g. for a radio terminal includes a receptacle (32) of a shape to support and hold the radio terminal. This may be attached to a support block (45) attached to a flexible swan neck (40) which is in turn rigidly attached within the vehicle. On top of the support block there is a ball type joint (50) which is intended to be received within an aperture (52) in the receptacle (32). A flat (55) on one side of the ball joint is aligned with a corresponding section (57) in the receptacle in order to determine the orientation of the joint. A projecting hook shaped peg (60) on the support block is then located in a corresponding aperture (62) in the receptacle in order to secure the two parts together. The support block is deliberately fitted near to one end of the receptacle, so that there is space for the user to take hold of the radio terminal.
