Zusammenfassung:	A viscosity conditioner is disclosed which comprises a compound structured to have a group of the following formula (1) where R is a hydrocarbyl group, R' is a branched or secondary hydrocarbyl group, and n ranges from 1 to 500. The specified viscosity conditioner is conducive to reduced temperature dependence and hence constant viscosity in a certain range suited for all environmental conditions and good coatability at all seasons. Also disclosed are an emulsion composition and an emulsion paint composition, each of which include of the viscosity conditioner.
