Zusammenfassung:	The frame for doors or widows or facades and the like is composed of hollow profile rods (1) of aluminium (alloy) with an oxide skin or surface coating. The ends of the hollow profile rods (1) are welded together only at the mating surfaces (3) which are not at the visible side (2). The butting joint (4) is closed with a sealing mass at the visible side (2) zone. The sealing mass is an adhesive, and especially a twin-component epoxy adhesive, a single- or twin-component polyurethane adhesive, and the like. The sealing mass can be a joint filler such as silicon, polyurethane, polysulphide and the like. The sealing can also be a thin silicon fluid, narrow joint filler and the like. Also claimed is a sealing process, where the sealing mass is applied by a brush, roller, spatula, pad or sponge.
