Zusammenfassung:	An agent for the permanent deformation of human hair contains at least one thio cpd. reducing agent, esp. thioglycolic acid and/or a salt thereof and comprises the following two compsns. which are kept separately until use, when they are mixed together to form a compsn. with a pH of 7 - 8 that is applied to the hair: (A) aq. soln. with a pH of 3.0 - 6.5, contg. a least one amino acid (hydrochloride), with the exception of cystein, 1 - 100 ppm of at least one iron (II) salt and opt. a polyol or a (m)ethyl ether thereof; and (B) compsn. with a pH of ca. 8 - 12, contg. at least one alkylation agent chosen from ammonium (hydrogen) carbonate or ammonium carbamate.
