Zusammenfassung:	The tile is flat and made from plain or glazed clay, being designed for laying in overlapping rows. Its overlapping sections have ventilation ducts (4) and fixing holes (1). The ducts are formed by relief ribs (5) or grooves in the underside of the tile. The hole are also in the overlapping sections of the tile and are in the shape of buttonholes, allowing the tile to be fixed or replaced. The ribs can be formed by making incisions in the synthetic gum coating the inner surface of the mould in which the tile is made, the edges of the incisions opening to allow clay to penetrate when its is pressed into the mould.
