Zusammenfassung:Prodn. of aq. highly reactive binders for wood particles is characterised in that mixing of the two components, (A) and (B) (see below), takes place at most 96 hrs. before application of the binder to the particles. (A) 67-85 wt.% aq. soln. of a 25-35 mol.% PhOH/65-76 mol.% HCHO/0-2 mol.% phenol deriv. condensn. resin, the soln. having 40-55 wt.% solids content and a viscosity of 0.5-5 Pa.s (20 degrees C; 48 wt.% solids) and contg. 0.8-1.5 mol equiv. (based on PhOH and phenol deriv.) of an alkali hydroxide; and (B) 5-33 wt.% urea as aq. soln. or solid.
