CATIONIC AND ANIONIC POLYELECTROLYTES FOR ENHANCING THE FREENESS OF PAPER PULP
A process for improving the freeness of paper pulp comprise (a) contacting the pulp with 0.05 wt.% of a cellulolytic enzyme at a temp. of at least 40[deg]C for 0.5-1 hr.; (b) adding at least 0.011 wt.% of a water-soluble cationic polymer; (c) adding at least 0.007 wt.% of a water soluble acrylamide/...

Zusammenfassung: | A process for improving the freeness of paper pulp comprise (a) contacting the pulp with 0.05 wt.% of a cellulolytic enzyme at a temp. of at least 40[deg]C for 0.5-1 hr.; (b) adding at least 0.011 wt.% of a water-soluble cationic polymer; (c) adding at least 0.007 wt.% of a water soluble acrylamide/acrylic acid anionic polymer; and (d) forming the treated pulp into paper. Pref. the water soluble cationic polymer is a copolymer of 20-80 wt.% acrylamide and diallyldimethyl ammonium chloride. The anionic polymer comprises 20-95 wt.% acrylamide and 5-80 wt.% anionic monomer partic. acrylic acid and methylacrylic acid. |
