| Zusammenfassung: | A rod antenna assembly (1) for the transmission of microwave energy during the monitoring of fluid surface levels by short range radar is introduced through a flanged (21) orifice (10) in the wall of the container. The antenna stem (2b) is surrounded by a circular collar (2c) formed integrally during manufacture of the antenna in a di-electric material, e.g., by sintering or plastic injection moulding. The assembly (1) is completed by a metal resonator comprising the circular disc (12), integral cap (3, 4), an exciter electrode (7) energised via a coaxial connector/cable (14/13) and the retaining studs (15) which ensure a pressure-tight compression joint at the flange (11). |
