Zusammenfassung:	Compsns. for permanent deformation of human hair contain at least one thio cpd. (I) with reducing activity and a combination of: (a) 0.25-5 wt.% EtOH, n-PrOH and/or i-PrOH; (b) 0.25-2.5 wt.% 1,2-propanediol, 1,2-butanediol, 1,3-butanediol, glycerol and/or dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether; and (c) 0.25-7.5 wt.% 1-methoxy- 2-propanol and/or diethylene glycol monomethyl or monoethyl ether. (I) is selected from thioglycolic acid, 2-thiolactic acid and their salts. The compsns. contain 0.5-25 1,2-propanediol and 1-5% diethylene glycol monoethyl ether. The compsn. are prepd. by mixing two separately stored components (A) and (B), to give a mixt. with a pH of 7-8. Component A contains an amino acid salt in an aq. medium and has a pH of 4.5-6.5. Component B contains NH4 bicarbonate, carbonate or carbamate and has a Ph of 8-9.5. (I) is present in component A.
