Zusammenfassung: | According to the prior art, double-chamber bass reflex boxes are formed in such a manner that the box enclosure is subdivided into two volumes by a partition wall. A loudspeaker (19) is inserted in the partition wall. One of the two volumes (13, 14) is provided with an outlet opening in which a so-called bass reflex pipe is inserted for tuning the box. If box enclosures of complicated shape are to be formed, it is not possible to construct the bass reflex pipe in one piece with the wall to which it is connected. Instead, it is necessary in these cases to insert the so-called bass reflex pipe in an opening in the wall and to connect it by using suitable sealing and bonding measures. The invention was therefore based on the object of specifying an enclosure for double-chamber bass reflex boxes (10) which can be produced in a particularly simple manner. This object is achieved by the fact that the closed volume (13) of the box (10) is formed by a blown hollow body (11), that the tuning volume (14) of the box (10) is also formed by a blown hollow body (12), that in each case one wall of each of the two hollow bodies (11, 12) exhibits an indentation (16) pointing towards the interior of the hollow body (11, 12) and that the open volume (26) of the box (10) is formed by joining the two hollow bodies (11, 12) in that the walls (15) provided with the indentations (16) are joined together. A particularly good utilisation of the volume is given when the openings (22) and the outlet opening (24) are arranged symmetrically to one another. |
