Zusammenfassung:	An ink for ink-jet printing comprises a polar vehicle, a dye soluble in the vehicle and a 4-10C 1,2-alkanediol (I). The content of (I) is 0.1 wt. % for a 10C (I), 12.5 wt. % for a 4C (I) and an intermediate amt. for 5-9C (I). Also claimed is a multi-colour printing process involving printing paper with two different inks of different proximity to each other and in close proximity in time, where each ink is an aq. ink, contg. a dye and (I) in an amt. to prevent lateral bleeding of the inks.
