Zusammenfassung:Catalysts comprising A) an alkoxide of a rare-earth element, a carboxylate of a rare-earth element, a complex compound of a rare-earth element with a diketone and/or an addition compound of a halide of a rare-earth element with an oxygen or nitrogen donor compound, B) a trialkylaluminium compound, a dialkylaluminium hydride and/or an aluminoxane, C) a further Lewis acid and D) an inert, particulate, inorganic solid having a specific surface area of greater than 10 m /g (BET) and a pore volume of from 0.3 to 15 ml/g, are eminently suitable for the polymerisation of conjugated dienes, in particular butadiene, in the gas phase.
