Preferably, the heat-exchangers (8,30,32) will comprise the intercell partitions of the battery container (2) and the liquid passages therein will have an elongated cross-section in a direction transverse of the passage so as to provide a wide passage having the majority of the surfaces defining the passage lying in planes substantially parallel to the external faces of the heat-exchangers (8,30,32). |
