Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus (10) for clamping a cassette containing a photosensitive element (17). The apparatus (10) includes a frame (11) and a stop bar (45) movably mounted to the frame (11) for movement between an operative position and a non operative position. The stop bar (45) has a registration surface (46) for registering the forward end (47) of cassette (12). A first jaw member (24) is secured to the frame (11) and has a second registration surface (25) for engagement with a first side of the cassette. A second movable jaw member (26) movable between a clamping position and a non clamping position is provided. The second jaw member (26) has a clamping surface (27) for engaging a second side of the cassette opposite the first side of the cassette so as to clamp the cassette between the first and second jaw members (24,26) when the second jaw member is in the clamping position. A mechanism is provided for moving the second jaw member (26) between the clamping and non-clamping positions. Sensors (48) are also provided for sensing if the cassette (12) is properly positioned within the clamping mechanism and position of the stop bar (45).
