Ces fils à coudre agglomérés intérieurement comprennent trois fils multifilaires (10) enroulés de manière hélicoïdale autour d'un fil à âme de liage thermoplastique (12). Les procédés de l'invention comportent un procédé amélioré de préparation d'un fil retors précurseur (5) qui est ensuite traité thermiquement afin d'obtenir le fil à coudre aggloméré intérieurement (5'). De plus, l'invention se rapporte à des traitements continus et des traitements par lots permettant de convertir le fil retors précurseur (5) en un fil à coudre aggloméré intérieurement (5'). The invention relates to internally bonded sewing threads and to processes for the production of the internally bonding sewing threads. The internally bonding sewing threads of the invention include three multifilament yarns wrapped helically about a thermoplastic bonding core yarn. Processes of the invention include an improved process for preparing a precursor plied thread which is thereafter thermally treated to provide the internally bonded sewing thread. In addition, the invention provides batch and continuous processes for converting the precursor plied thread into internally bonded sewing thread.
