The obturating band (5) according to the invention is arranged in a groove (7) of a sabot (2) of an arrow-type projectile, the sabot consisting of a plurality of segments (2a, 2b, 2c) separated by parting planes (11), the said band comprising at least one receptacle (9) which is in line with each parting plane and inside which a stud (14) is arranged, and being characterised in that the stud does not penetrate into the sabot. The invention is used in the sector of high-calibre ammunition. |
