Zusammenfassung:	A method and a plant for processing paper products with a heavy pressurized fluid, wherein fibrous materials such as closed, stacked books (2) are contacted, preferably dynamically, with (a) a heavy fluid such as supercritical CO2?, and (b) the same heavy fluid containing a solution of one or more active substance(s), whereafter, after a long enough time for the active substance to impregnate the books (2), said books (2) are reduced to atmospheric pressure to remove therefrom the heavy gaseous fluid. Said active substances have a neutralizing and/or strengthening effect on the paper.
