Zusammenfassung:	Potassium and cesium fluoride are prepared from aqueous potassium or cesium chloride, respectively, by reaction of the latter with an aqueous solution of fluorosilicic acid to obtain potassium or cesium fluorosilicate, thermally decomposing the dried potassium or cesium fluorosilicate to evolve silicon tetrafluoride and leave the desired potassium or cesium fluoride as a residue, and dissolving the evolved silicon tetrafluoride in water to generate recyclable aqueous fluorosilicic acid.
