Zusammenfassung:A process for producing 5-amino-3-methylpyrazole which comprises reacting hydrazine with a reaction intermediate prepared from 2,3-dichloropropene and hydrocyanic acid and containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of 3-chloro-3-butenonitrile and 2,3-butadienonitrile. A process for producing 5-amino-4-chloro-3-methylpyrazole which comprises chlorinating the 5-amino-3-methylpyrazole obtained above in the presence of hydrochloric acid.
