Panel for closing an opening and clip system for use as a part thereof

A clip system (6, 106, 306, 406) for clamping a panel element (1, 101, 301, 401) against a rebate (3, 103, 303, 403) comprises a bolt (7, 307, 407) which is movable between a first position for clamping the panel element (1, 101, 301, 401) against a rebate (3, 103, 303, 403) and a second position for releasing the panel element, and an operating mechanism (8, 308, 408) for moving the bolt (7, 307, 407). According to the invention, depending on the position of the bolt (7, 307, 407), there is a variable transmission ratio between the operating mechanism (8, 308, 408) and the bolt, with a time lag which increases as the bolt in a path near the first position nears said first position. Operation of the bolt consequently requires little force and can be carried out with a short movement. The clip system can be achieved by a simple construction requiring little maintenance.
