Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method and apparatus for treating metallic strips, especially hot-rolled metallic strips, in the entry part of a pickling line, the metallic strip (6) being stretch-bend-straightened directly after being uncoiled from an uncoiling reel (1) and a belt tension sufficiently high for stretch-bend-straightening being produced. In the course of the production of the belt tension, the metallic strip can be dressed immediately prior to bend-straightening to avoid flow patterns.
