METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CHANGING A TOOL DISC OF A TOOL REVOLVER

To change the tool disc (3) rotatable relative to the housing of a tool turret and detachably connected to the housing, a clamping device (10, 11) is released so that the tool disc can be moved out of its working position, in which it is coupled to the drive shaft (4) rotatable by a rotary drive, in the direction of this drive shaft away from the housing into a transfer position. The drive shaft (4) and, coupled to it, a connecting rod (10) of the clamping device are then rotated by means of the rotary drive out of a connecting position into a release position in which the connection between the connecting rod (10), displaceable in its axial direction relative to the housing, and the tool disc (3) is released so that the connecting rod can then be pulled out of the tool disc. The connecting rod (10) can now be brought into engagement with another tool disc (3) and can then be rotated by means of the rotary drive out of the release position into the connecting position in which the connecting rod (10) is positively connected to the tool disc in the axial direction. By a relative movement between the housing and the tool disc (3), the latter can be put into its working position and then clamped in place.
