Zusammenfassung:	The hollow shaft comprises a tubular shaft part (1), built up from wound fibrous layers, with connecting means (2) permanently fixed to the ends. In order to increase the critical speed, the shaft part is crowned, at least approximately parabolically. The crowning is achieved by an appropriately shaped core (3, 4, 5, 6), which either is embedded between two fibrous layers (7, 8) or forms the inner shell of the shaft part.
