Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a crate (1) for accommodating a plurality of bottles, comprising a bottom (2), four sidewalls (3) each having a horizontal upper edge and window apertures (9), and partitions (4a-4d) which form compartments for the bottles to be accommodated. The partitions (4a-4d) terminate adjacent a sidewall (3) in a column-shaped member (10a) which is located at least partly within the boundaries defined by the inner surfaces of the sidewalls (3) and has a top surface extending close to the upper edge of the sidewall (3). According to the invention, a partition (4a) adjoining a column-shaped member (10a), at least in the area adjacent to the column-shaped member (10a), extends close to the upper edge of the column-shaped member (10a). The partition (4a) has an upper edge without any vertical or substantially vertical portions and such a configuration in the area adjacent the sidewall (3) and the column-shaped member (10a) that, viewed in the vertical direction of the crate (1), the line formed by the centres of gravity of the vertical force transmission is inwardly offset relative to those of the forces exerted on the upper edge of the sidewall.
