Zusammenfassung:	There are described a method and device for the production of moulded articles from peat and synthetic material for growing a seedling, where the seedling, if appropriate together with nutrient, is arranged in the peat and where, for this purpose, a mixture of peat and water is first mixed with a hydrophilic polyurethane prepolymer, if appropriate with an addition of nutrients. Shaped elements are shaped from the paste mixture and subsequently left to harden. The mixture is applied to a conveyor belt in the form of an endless paste extrusion rod and rolled out, and rows of shaped elements are cut out using a die.
