Lipid-containing plastics

Plastics materials may be plasticised using lipids as the sole plasticiser or in combination with conventional plasticisers. When appropriate lipids are used thermosetting plastics and elastomers may be rendered biocompatible or therapeutic articles and substained release medicaments may be formed.
