Zusammenfassung:	Electrochemical reactor for the treatment of aqueous effluents, comprising a vessel in which electrodes of opposite polarity are placed alternately, the electrodes corresponding to one of the polarities being removable bulk electrodes filled with a granular active material. According to the invention the said granular active material is petroleum coke. Application especially to effluents which may contain a high proportion of heavy metals.
