Zusammenfassung:	Optical reflector (1) for light sources having a portion of its reflecting surface behind the light source (2) which exhibits a profile of two circle involutes (2a, 2b) disposed symmetrically on either side of a vertical axis and intersecting at a prefixed distance from the source. The two involutes have each as generator circle the cross section of the source and their origins are on one side of the circle. The two involute profile portions merge with two profile portions appearing as parabola branches (4a, 4b) of which the axes are angled and convergent. The reflector is glare-free, combining maximum photometric efficiency with compact dimensions, and sheds light uniformly onto a work area beneath.
