Process for the production of carotinoid preparations

The process entails a suspension of a carotenoid in a high-boiling oil being contacted with superheated steam for a period not exceeding 30 seconds, subsequently the resulting mixture being emulsified in an aqueous solution of a colloid, and then the emulsion being sprayed and dried.
