Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an oil-sealed pre-vacuum pump on which the receiver is protected against aeration in the event of the pump being shut down in that in this state its expansion chamber is sealed vacuum tight on the atmosphere side. In order to achieve shutting off of the oil supply by the simplest possible means when the vacuum pump stops and at the same time to be able to precisely meter and shut off the gas supply necessary for silencing, an auxiliary pump 2 on the pump shaft is proposed which draws in oil through separate intake ducts 4 and 5, mixes it and forces it into the expansion chamber of the vacuum pump via a spring-loaded valve 7.
