Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to prosthesis ball-joints. The ball-joint according to the present invention is characterised essentially by the fact that it comprises two parts, a male and a female part, the male part comprising a spherical head 13 and means 9, 10, 11 for mounting the head securely on a fixation stem 4, the female part comprising a cup 17 of concave, spherical shape complementing the spherical head, the spherical head being made of a material having a crystalline structure, such as a monocrystal, for example ruby, sapphire or diamond. Application to the production of, in particular, hip prostheses or the like.
