Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an alphanumeric text entry device comprising a display (5) and keyboard. The keyboard of this device comprises numerical keys (2) associated with groups of alphanumeric characters and selection keys (4) making it possible to select one of the characters of a group corresponding to a numerical key. It is characterised in that the display (5) is composed of two parts, a first part displaying the text already entered and a second part which shows in the immediate vicinity of a selection key (4) at least one of the alphanumeric characters of a numerical key (2). The invention can be used particularly in the incorporation of this device in a telephone terminal.
