Zusammenfassung:	This invention relates to a process for encapsulating an active ingredient, which comprises preparing a solution or dispersion of the active ingredient in molten fatty acid or fatty acid derivative and spraying the dispersion into a gas stream having a temperature below the melting point of the molten fatty acid or fatty acid derivative to form particles having a particle size of at least 100 mu m, followed by separating the particulate encapsulated active ingredient.
