LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS

Compositions containing a) a lubricant or a hydraulic fluid and b) a triaryl thionophosphate mixture of the formula I where x is 0 to 2,7, m is 3-(x+n) and n is 0 to 3-(x+m), and x + m + n = 3, Ar has the meaning of , Ar has the meaning of and Ar has the meaning of , where R , R , R , R , R , R and R independently of one another, for example, have the meaning of -H, alkyl having 1 to 18 C atoms, cycloalkyl having 5 to 12 C atoms, phenyl or phenyl-C1-C3-alkyl and R and R independently of one another have the meaning of alkyl having 1 to 18 C atoms, cycloalkyl having 5 to 12 C atoms, phenyl or phenyl-C1-C3-alkyl, with the proviso that x and n are not simultaneously 0, that at least two of the radicals Ar , Ar and Ar are different from one another and that dixylenyl para- cresylthionophosphate is excluded. The triaryl thionophosphate mixtures are anti-wear additives and the compositions are particularly suitable, for example, for use in internal combustion engines.
