Zusammenfassung:	The invention describes a liquid-cooled four-valve cylinder head for a multicylinder internal-combustion engine comprising a casting which, between the cylinder-head base and a cylinder head cover, has a cooling water space in which struts for reinforcing the cylinder head base, the valve passages of the gas exchange valves and the chambers for accommodating the secondary combustion chambers are arranged and above which there is a control space with guide housings for accommodating the bucket tappets for the actuation of the gas exchange valves. In order to achieve a rigid and nevertheless easily manufactured cylinder head construction, the chambers are cast integrally with the valve passages within the cooling water space, the struts are provided with ribs projecting into adjoining portions of the combustion chamber and the lateral external walls of the cylinder head housing are connected by transverse webs in the region of the control space.
