Zusammenfassung:	A rhoptry antigen of the asexual blood stages of Plasmodium falciparum, is characterised by: (i) having an apparent molecular weight of approximately 55kDa; (ii) being a glycoprotein incorporating myristic acid; (iii) being present in a restricted localisation with merozoites consistent with a rhoptry location; and (iv) being extracted into the detergent phase when parasite antigens are separated by phase partitioning with detergent.
