Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a supporting device in which cavities, supplied with pressurised gas through calibrated orifices, are arranged on the stator. According to the invention, a sealing system composed of labyrinths (12) is formed between the stator and the rotor, on either side of the bearings (10-11), so as to maintain, at the outlet of the latter, a relatively high pressure level. This device permits high speeds of rotation by virtue of its rigidity.
