Zusammenfassung:	A disk drive spindle motor for rotatably driving a plurality of memory storage disks (14) or the like, comprises a stator shaft (32), an armature (74,76) carried by the stator shaft and having a plurality of alternate armature poles, a rotor hub (54), and bearing units (40,42) for rotatably supporting a rotor hub from the stator shaft. A permanent magnet sleeve (80) is carried by the rotor hub (54) in magnetic coupled relation with the armature (74, 76). The sleeve has a one piece configuration including a plurality of circumferentially arranged alternate magnetic sleeve poles, whereby the permanent magnet sleeve (80) and the hub (54) are rotatably driven upon supply of electric power to the armature (74,76).
